What Are Scheduled Messages
A scheduled Telegram message is the most common message that you wrote to someone in a chat, on a channel or in your “Saved”, but which will not be sent at the time of writing, but will be sent by Telegram automatically on the day and time that you have chosen in advance.
Thus, scheduled messages are very handy. Sometimes you just need to send a message at a certain time. Let's say a thought struck you late at night, but you don't want to wake anyone up. You can send messages via Telegram, simply by waiting for the sending at the desired time, or you can schedule a message at a precisely selected time.
Most users may not be aware of this option as it is not clearly highlighted anywhere and you need to be aware of its existence in order to use this option.
How to Make a Scheduled Message in Telegram
To send a scheduled message you need:
- Press and hold the airplane icon before sending the message.
- Select "Send Later".
- Set the date and time of sending.
- Wait for the scheduled message to work.
Next, we will describe in more detail how to send a scheduled message in Telegram.
It is quite simple to create a delayed message on the desktop version of Telegram: right-click the “Send” button on the chat or channel toolbar, and then select “Schedule Message” and set the date and time.
On mobile versions of Telegram, everything is broadly the same. Enter your message in a channel, chat, or group chat, but instead of tapping the send icon, hold it for a few seconds.
After such a clamping you will have a menu with options to send a message without sound or “Send later”, ie create a scheduled message. Click on this item, then you will have a special menu - set the date and time in it.
Delayed Telegram messages also work well in the "Saved Messages" chat, that is, in the "Favorites" section.
With this feature, you can freely travel back in time to mark future events in your life, whether it’s a visit to the dentist next week or a work project due date.

Additional Features
Making full use of deferred messages includes several other important tools. You can manage your pending messages thanks to the pending messages list or, for example, control the sound of notifications.
List of Scheduled Messages
After you create a postponed message, you will have a page with all the messages that are scheduled to be sent.
Here you can view and manage all scheduled messages. If you want to go to this tab, then first tap the clock icon, which you will see in the lower right corner of the chat in the Telegram.
From here, you can:
- Delete;
- Copy;
- Edit;
- Send the scheduled message immediately.
Your message in the queue will be sent at a predetermined time. You can schedule as deferred any number of messages in group or individual chats, as well as on your telegram channel.
Notification Sound
Every time your scheduled message or reminder is sent, you receive a special notification so that you are not caught off guard by messages that you put in earlier.
You can also turn off the sound of the scheduled message. Muting the sound in Telegram can be especially useful if you want to send a message late at night without waking anyone up.
In order to turn off the sound of notifications for scheduled messages in a chat or a channel in which you have scheduled messages — first click on the name in the upper right corner of the chat, and then select the "Mute" item in the list that appears.
Important! This will disable all audio notifications from that channel / chat, even if it is a regular message.
Who Needs Scheduled Messages
Scheduled messages in Telegram can be useful for absolutely all users. They can be used for correspondence with loved ones, for work correspondence, or for the purpose of setting reminders.
The function of scheduled messages in Telegram can be especially useful for group administrators and owners of telegram channels, who can use it to create content for the channel in advance and distribute it more evenly over time. So, for example, you can write several posts early in the morning, spreading them throughout the day thanks to the deferred messages feature. Knowing that you will be busy in a certain period of time, you can prepare posts in advance and set them on a timer.
